Introduction

Well, hop in.

Where ya headed? Hm? Nowhere in particular? Same here.

Guess we’re in for a long, ambling, rambling, meandering journey then.

Hm? Oh, yeah, I dunno where the road we’re on stops. I don’t even know where it began, and the details are fuzzy on when and where I got on it. But what I do know is that we’re here, now, and we’re… traveling. We’re doing the same thing that most of humanity has done since we learned how to walk: going places.

I guess while we’re at it, I should at least tell you where I’ve been, and where I want to go, and everything involved in getting there. Routes, food, people, music… yes, especially music. But that’s only one part of this blog.

Yes, I’m leaving my paper trail on my trials and travels behind me in blog form. Here is how the blog will run, ideally:

“The Neverending Road” will be a tri-weekly blog, with posts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Mondays: “Past Journeys,” a collection of memories from vacations, weekenders, and day-trips of yore. It’s nice to start the week off with a little nostalgia.

Wednesdays: “Future Destinations,” a series of ideal trip routes, far-off lands and peoples, and other surprises. In the middle of the week, when we’re all busy with work, sometimes it’s good to daydream for a bit. To quote the Staple Singers, “I’ll take you there!”

Fridays: “Music Meanderings,” a series on the songs, albums, and playlists that make up the soundtracks to life, in specific regards to travel. Maybe you’ll be headed out on a weekender or day trip and you’ll want some music to go with it. Hopefully, I can provide you with some… inspiration.

Other posts might also pop up on subjects such as travel literature, websites, maps, and philosophy. There will most definitely be an emphasis on geography, which I have a college degree in, throughout the entire blog.

…And no, I don’t know where the next rest stop is. Guess we’ll just have to pay attention to the signs.
